Spring Soccer Begins

Hello to everyone and welcome to the Spring Soccer season. In this introductory email I just want to go over a few basics before we get going.

As with the last two seasons, primary team communications are done through our blog at http://erlangersoccer.blogspot.com and as posts are made they should send an notification to the email address provided on your registration. To ensure that this is working properly, please send a reply to this email. If I do not hear back, I will call to confirm your email address.

The season will begin on Saturday, March 26th with all scheduled games played on Saturdays. Make-up games are usually on our practice night if possible. Our field for home games and practices will be at Erlanger Lions. We will have an 8 game season with a possible bye-week thrown in.

Practice this season will be on Thursday nights from 5:30 to 7:00. After the first practice we will break into two overlapping groups with younger players practicing from 5:30 to 6:30, and the older girls from 6:00 to 7:00. This will allow 30 minutes to tailor specific drills to the experience levels of the girls and 30 minutes to work as a team.

Our first practice will be Thursday, March 17th.

Coaches this season will be Bob Blasingame, Sean Skaggs and Ryan Bihl.

Our roster has a good mix of older and younger players and we should be able to have fun and be competitive:

Maria Blasingame
Maycie Skaggs
Mallory Bihl
Rylee Ratliff
Jenna Miller
Sydney Longshore
Grace Koch
Savannah Koch
Abby Carothers
Caryn Bosley
Alissa Schadler

I have jerseys to hand out to Savannah and Alissa. If any other girls have hit a growth spurt and need a larger size, let us know.

Other items will be discussed at the first practice. In the meantime, feel free to send any questions my way.

Thanks,
Bob
